Estimated Cook Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 1 tragic queen or 2 semi-functional adults

This is what happens when:

You wanted garlic bread but also pizza. You’re emotionally unavailable but still hungry. There’s a box of frozen Texas toast in your freezer, a jar of pasta sauce with questionable shelf life, and a deep need to feel something melty. This is not a meal—it’s a mood.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 4 slices frozen garlic bread (the thick, buttery kind)

  • ½ cup pasta sauce or salsa (yes, salsa—don’t overthink it)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (or pizza blend, if you’re bougie)

  • Optional toppings: pepperoni, pickles, banana peppers, olives, leftover chicken nuggets, torn-up deli meat

  • Optional garnish: crushed red pepper, dried oregano, existential dread

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (or follow garlic bread package instructions—this isn’t rocket science).

  2. Bake garlic bread halfway through its cook time—usually around 5–6 minutes. It should be lightly golden but not fully crisp yet.

  3. Remove from oven. Spread a spoonful of sauce on each slice. Top with cheese and whatever toppings are within arm’s reach.

  4. Pop back in the oven for another 7–8 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the garlic bread edges are starting to look like they’ve seen some things.

  5. Let cool for like… 30 seconds, then eat standing over the stove like a raccoon in yoga pants.

✨ Food Styling Tips (Hot Mess Energy):

  • Stack two slices slightly overlapping with cheese strings still clinging.

  • Use a grungy baking tray or line with parchment paper for that “we didn’t even try” vibe.

  • Drizzle hot honey or ranch for some visual drama.

  • If shooting for socials, add a wine glass and an empty pizza box in the background for storytelling chaos.
